Re-Opening a Closed Pay Period

You can either temporarily open a pay period or permanently re-open a pay period.

You would temporarily re-open a pay period if you need to make minor edits to one or a few employees. Please Note:Changes made to the employee timecard in a temporarily re-opened pay period will use the current pay class settings.

If a pay period was accidentally closed early, or if you have pending punches, you will want to permanently re-open a pay period. Please Note:Permanently re-opening a pay period will force a recalculation using the current settings for all open pay periods. The last open pay period will no longer be available until the re-opened pay period is closed. No data will be lost.
